A bag is where every other job on this bench comes together: a strap that has to hold its shape under load, a body that has to stand up on its own, and fastenings that get worked every single day.

The range bag pictured here was built around what goes in it — boxes of shells and a set of ear defenders. The same goes for a tote, a satchel or a sling: say what it has to carry and how you want to wear it, and it gets cut to that.
